Dealing With Post Pill Acne

Maybe the pill is not agreeing with you anymore or possibly you are going to start trying for a family, whatever the reason - your skin may freak out. You see, while you were on the pill your hormones were regulated. Hormone-based birth control is often prescribed as a solution to acne, as the hormones repress the level of sebum (oil) produced. In fact, studies have shown birth control can be just as effective as taking oral antibiotics for acne.

Retinol 101

So here we are… probably just about hanging in there at this point. You are most likely missing your injectors, and I feel confident in saying - they 100% miss you too. So what can you be using right now in the comfort of your home (and well forever) to help with aging?! Retinol. Do Eye Creams Even Work??

On average, I probably get a message, text, or IG comment once a day asking for eye cream suggestions. Now I’ll be honest, I have used my fair share of eye creams without noticing a lick of a difference. For some time, I even gave up on the idea and just stuck to using my normal daily face moisturizer around my eyes. (which I later learned isn’t always the best way to go.)

What to expect before and after fillers

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve written a blog post. My bad. What have I been up to?? Working and living. This blogging and instagram and content nonsense is NO JOKE! I try to get my ideas from what is going on in my daily routine. What questions people are asking, what’s the most popular treatment of the week, what do people want to read, and so on. So when two patients cancelled on me last week claiming cold feet with fillers, I figured they probably aren’t the only two people out there that are a little hesitant to pull the trigger.

Happy FRIDAY!!! You made it through another week and I couldn’t be more excited for it! I put up a story on Instagram asking if you would prefer to hear about the uses of Botox OR types of fillers. It was honestly 52% v 48%, with Botox taking the win by a hair (looks like I have a second blog post idea coming soon!!).

Now that I’m in the business of cosmetics, people ask me what skincare products I use. Yes, we sell products in the office and I like some more than others. I’m not a product pusher, but I will strongly encourage you to buy something that works!
